I’m the kind of girl who wants to try everything on the menu – I don’t want Victoria Sponge or chocolate. I want them both. 

It’s this desire to experience everything life has to offer that led me to write for beloved independent wedding brands, well-known high-street businesses, and everything in between.

Alongside having the best damn time (seriously my 15-year-old self is gushing over getting to do this work every day) writing for these swoon-worthy businesses and working with two ends of the brand & business spectrum has shaped me as a copywriter and human being. 

I feel like some kind of secret spy knowing what the million-pound start-ups AND creative small businesses are doing behind the scenes – I’ll spare you my Bond impression because we all know the vibe around here is more Elle Woods than 007.

Well, it wasn’t that *obvious* to me seeing as I only discovered copywriting in my final year of university after dipping my toes in journalism, penning a whole novel (yeah I did that), and writing content for construction companies. That’s a story for another time.

I happened across copywriting while aimlessly scrolling (not that I’m vouching for this to be a certified way to find your future vocation. But, well, it worked for me). 

And I fell head-over-heels for the craft. It combined my love of brand, born out of 4 years in the luxury retail space, and writing, something that’s been instilled in me since my day 1.

‘Website copywriter’ truly felt like the dream job I never knew existed.

I graduated from university and threw myself into freelance copywriting with as much unbridled passion and devotion as Austen’s most beloved romances.

It took 2 name changes, one *big* rebrand, and many iterations of this website copy to uncover Cupid Copy: a website copywriting studio inspired by the love & pride every business should feel towards their online home (their website).
