Hi, Jasmine — website copywriter & marketer for service providers + coaches looking to book more dream clients via their website.

My best Instagram Lives for brand, business, and website copywriting tips

My word for 2024 is ‘community’. I’m keen to foster a sense of community around my website copywriting business and my personal life.

While I adore (seriously, I’m obsessed) my career, the lack of one-to-one human interaction is by far the most difficult part of the job. I love the time I spend chatting with my clients on strategy sessions and copy walk-throughs about their businesses, brand strategy, and website copy. And I craved more of this.

Doing more Instagram Lives meant hitting two birds with one stone – how strange is that phrase? I don’t think I’ll be using that in the future…But, hey, it works well here.

  1. I get to connect with other dedicated brand and business owners (big win for me)
  2. I get to share their expertise with you, my business-owner audience, and give you some additional website copywriting tips along the way!

So, a few months ago, I messaged several business owners in my network – some I’d spoken to a lot, and some I’d never chatted with – to see if they’d like to join me on a Live.

The response was overwhelmingly positive, and soon, I had a calendar full of upcoming Instagram Lives with founders I admire.

Fast forward to now, I have a bank of high-value Lives covering everything from the relationship between website copy & design to mindset & messaging, and so much more.

Whether you’re a fashion brand, wedding planner, or even a fellow website copywriter, there is a Live overflowing with insight and information you’ll gain value from outlined in this blog post.

Embodying your business brand with Leoni of D’arcy Design Co

This was my second ever Live. And, clearly, I’d been crying out to share some brand and website copywriting tips because Leoni and I chatted for an hour!

Leoni is the brand and website designer behind D’arcy Design Co. She’s an all-around brand whizz who seamlessly blends creativity and strategy to create something beautiful that really works for her clients. Passionate about brands being more than a design or message you share, Leoni encourages all business owners to see their brand as an identity they need to embody.

The conversation: embodying your brand through your brand visuals, messaging, and website copy

During this conversation, we discussed the difference between a personal brand and a business brand, the importance of establishing the best route for you and your goals, and how to continuously embody your brand — even if that means curating what you share a little better! Leoni and I align on so much when it comes to creating and embodying an effective brand, so it was so much fun to share this with our audiences! If you’re wondering whether the personal or business brand route is best for you. Or, if you’re wondering how to better embody your brand, this conversation is for you.

Reconnect with the heart of your brand and realign with who you are with Maria of Maria Therese Manifestation

Maria is firmly situated in the world of mindset and manifestation, aspace that’s often felt distant from my strategic, written space. But, that’s why I was so drawn to Maria. Her approach to business and branding lends itself to the personal route — focusing on showing up as yourself and attracting people with your personality and energetics.

The conversation: realigning with who you are and pouring your uniqueness into your messaging, content, and website copy

During our conversation, I learnt about the art of manifestation and how you can expand your nervous system to hold a greater vision and create the life you desire. Maria gives such incredible insights into this. So much so that, a world that once felt incredibly unfamiliar finally started making sense! Beyond this, we discussed how these tools allow you to reconnect with yourself and the ways you can channel this into your business to ensure you’re attracting truly aligned people.

Understanding your ideal client/customer with Steph of Dear Charlie

Steph is the founder and designer behind Dear Charlie, a design studio crafting luxury websites for small businesses. With a focus on strategy-led creativity, Step ensures all her design work is not only beautiful (which is really is), but works hard to attract and resonate with the right people.

The conversation: the importance of narrowing down your ideal client

Steph and I discussed the importance of narrowing down your ideal client beyond their demographics and getting to understand them as human beings. As a website copywriter writing in an AI-obsessed world, this focus on human connection and understanding is something I resonate with. Steph and I shared our processes for understanding people and how we each use this to guide our craft. If you’re struggling to write for/create for your ideal buyer, this is a must-listen!

Personality-packed branding with Katie of Rose and Wells Creative

When I thought of who I wanted to have this conversation with, Katie was the obvious choice. Her brand is so distinct and so true to her. It’s overflowing with personality, and that wasn’t a happy accident. She’s created a brand that reflects her uniqueness while encouraging her audience to embrace theirs.

The conversation: attract your perfect-match clients with a personality-packed brand

Katie and I discussed the power of sharing your unique personality as a way to attract aligned people to your brand. We shared how you can do this visually (Katie’s expertise) and through your messaging and website copy (my expertise). However, we also discussed how this isn’t as easy as just showing up and sharing your personality. Being truthful to yourself requires vulnerability and a level of confidence that not every brand owner will have at this stage in their journey. Katie and I shared our experiences with this and how having brand assets (visuals, copy, design) can support us in embracing and sharing our authentic selves.

Signs you’re ready to rebrand your business with Connie of Hiya Connie Creative

Connie is a business friend and the creative genius behind the Cupid Copy brand design. She’s one of the most creative people I’ve ever met, and having her bring my vision to life for Cupid last year was such a dream!

We knew we wanted to go live and chat about our experience working together. But, things kept getting in the way. Finally, 6-months post-rebrand we sat down to talk about the project. We knew that alongside sharing my experience working with her, we wanted to share something of value for our communities. And because it felt so apt, we landed upon the experience of rebranding (or needing to).

The conversation: how to know if it’s time to rebrand your business & what goes into a strategic brand foundation

As two strategy-focused brand owners, Connie and I discussed the importance of having a solid strategy underpinning your brand visuals and messaging. We each offer brand strategy with our signature services (mine website copy, Connie’s brand & website design), so we shared our experiences developing these for clients while providing insight into why this is essential for any brand looking to grow with intention and ease.

We then discussed the rebrand experience, my journey of disillusionment and frustration with my online presence, a few mindset blocks I and others may have towards investing in a rebrand, and why it’s essential for your business that you work through these.

We covered so much in this conversation, so make sure to listen even if you’re not currently considering a rebrand. I promise you’ll learn something.

When is the right time to invest in your brand assets with Laura from Laura Anne Design

Following my conversation with Connie about rebranding, Laura and I talked about investing in your business. Laura is a brand designer with loads of experience working with wedding planners and designers. She creates beautiful designs and seamlessly guides her clients through the process of elevating their brands to further establish their businesses.

The conversation: when is the right time to invest in your brand assets (website copy, brand design, website design, coaching)?

Between gushing over our wedding industry clients, Laura and I chatted about our experience growing online businesses. For many, starting an online business is a daydream, but it’s one Laura and I made our reality. Her, after a career in corporate. I, following my English degree. One thing we’ve both learnt on our journeys is the importance of investing in yourself and your brand, even when it feels tough.

I loved this conversation because we went deep about the reality and anxieties of investing, often when things aren’t going well. We discussed the fears we’ve felt about investing back into our businesses, shared our outsourcing experiences, and highlighted how these have helped us grow.

Whether you’re fearful of investing or cautious about making the right choice when it comes to pouring back into your business, this conversation is for you.

The relationship between website copy and design with Izzy of Belle Creative

Izzy is a WordPress and Shopify website designer serving service providers and product-based businesses. Her designs are elevated, sleek, and luxurious, reflecting the refined clientele she works with. But, stunning visuals aren’t all she specialises in. Throughout our conversation, I quickly discovered the depth of Izzy’s expertise regarding conversion-friendly website design and site strategy.

The conversation: the relationship between website copy and design

When Izzy suggested we talk about the relationship between website copy and design, I quickly checked my previous lives to see if I’d already discussed this topic. Despite chatting with many website designers over the past couple of months, I hadn’t. I knew this would be an extremely valuable conversation for any business looking to create a new website for their brand.

We explored Izzy’s experience adding a website copywriter to her team, how websites perform better with professional website copy, and how to implement both to enhance one another.

I stepped away from this conversation learning so much, and I know you will too.

It was such a joy connecting with these business owners and sharing our knowledge with our communities. I listened, learnt, and admired throughout every conversation. Plus, it gave me a deep love for going live that I never thought I’d experience!

It was so refreshing to be real, present, and active in the moment sharing my website copywriting tips and learning from others rather than churning out content or rapidly consuming. If you’ve been putting off going live with your business friends, this is your sign to do it! You never know who’s watching and how you’re impacting them.

And, if you’re a brand owner looking for someone to go live and chat with, I’d love to join you. Let me know on Instagram and we’ll get something on the calendar!
